Steel hexagonal wire mesh
Steel hexagonal wire mesh is the best choice for strong and affordable hexagonal wire mesh. There are two types of steel hexagonal wire mesh: low carbon steel hexagonal mesh and stainless steel hexagonal wire mesh. Low carbon steel, also known as soft steel, has good toughness despite having low strength, hardness, and rusting easily. Although stainless steel hexagonal mesh is more expensive than low carbon steel, it is resistant to corrosion, rust, and oxidation and has a smooth surface that does not clear up. It is suitable for use as chicken wire, rockfall netting, stucco netting, gabion baskets, and gabion sacks.
Galvanized hexagonal wire mesh
Galvanized hexagonal wire mesh has been galvanized on the surface of a hexagonal wire mesh made of low carbon steel, stainless steel, zinc-5% aluminum alloy (galfan), or iron. Chicken wire, rabbit fence, garden fence, decorative mesh, and stucco netting could all be made with standard zinc-coated hexagonal wire mesh. Heavy zinc-coated hexagonal wire netting can be used for rockfall netting, gabion baskets, and gabion sacks. Galfan (a zinc-5% aluminum alloy) is commonly used to make gabion baskets or gabion sacks.
PVC coated hexagonal wire mesh
PVC coated hexagonal wire mesh has a polyvinyl chloride layer wrapped around the surface of the hexagonal wire mesh. Low carbon steel, stainless steel, zinc-5% aluminum alloy (galfan), iron, or galvanized wire may be used for internal wire. PVC coating can protect the mesh from corrosion, rust, and oxidation, allowing it to last longer in harsh environments. This type of hexagonal mesh is nearly impossible for rodents to chew through and can keep poultry safe. It can blend in with its surroundings by using different colors.
Brass/bronze/copper hexagonal wire mesh
Brass/bronze/copper hexagonal wire meshes are made of copper and zinc. Brass hexagonal mesh contains 60-70% copper and 30-40% zinc. Bronze hexagonal mesh is 90% copper and 10% zinc. The mesh is golden in color, bright and beautiful, flexible but not sturdy. They are commonly used as decorative mesh for furniture, cabinets, and dressers, but they can also be used as chicken wire and garden fences. Someone may have made crafts or a small basket using brass or bronze hexagonal mesh.
